GMHL S.I. Info and Rules

Location:

ALL games will be played at Le Centre Multisport Châteauguay

Format:

Gretzky Division:
After round robin play
the Gretzky division will split into 2 playoff brackets (U10 Elite & U9 Elite). Teams will be ranked 1-4 for semi final match ups 

Ovechkin Division:
After round robin play
the Gretzky division will split into 2 playoff brackets (U8 Elite & S.I Open). The top 4 teams after round robin will play in the U8 Elite playoff. Teams 5-8 will play in S.I Open Division playoff. Teams will be ranked 1-4 for semi final match ups 

2018 Division:

Teams will be ranked 1-4 after round robin and matched up for semi-final.

Round Robin Format:

-3x12 min STOP time
(Games may finish in tie, no overtime)
* NO time outs in Round Robin

Tie Breaker Rule:

-Head to Head
-Total Pts
-Goal Differential 
-Goals Against
-Fewest total PM
-Fewest Major Penalties 
-Fewest Empty Net Goals
-Fastest Goal

Playoff Rules and Overtime Format:

-Teams are allowed 1 timeout per game

In case of overtime the game will continue as follows:
-3v3 for 3min STOP time
-2v2 for 2min STOP time
-1v1 until there is a goal
